Oreo‘s attempt to set a Guinness World Record for most “Likes” on a Facebook post in 24 hours. A picture of the popular sandwich cookie did reach the target number of 50,000 likes in about four hours. But then rapper Lil Wayne ambushed the orchestrated attempt on a record with a simple status update via his iPhone:
"everyone, please “Like” this post. I’m trying to break the Guinness World Record for most “Likes” on a post in 24 hours. Let’s get it!!! "

Less than 15 minutes later, Lil Wayne’s status update had already received 75,000 likes as opposed to Oreo’s 60,000. And at the time of writing, he tripled the cookie’s number of likes.

Who is she? Well many of you might have only been realizing you’re hearing this stellar songstress’ music over the past month since Dr. Dre released his single I Need A Doctor off of his upcoming album, Detox.  Well truth be told, I think she is the brilliance that has helped singers and even been the reason for a lot of pop that has come out over the past couple years becoming famous.  Having been the original singer and writer of Love The Way You Lie, Skylar has gone way way way under everyone’s radar, garnering very little recognition for her talented writing and even more spectacular singing.  So for you haters (who are going to hate, just cause you gotta), listen to the song and then react to it. this is a great version of a song that will definitely convert you to fans of Skylar.

Skylar grey - Love the way you lie

Not only has she done this wonderful rendition (which by the way is the original), but she was also featured on the hooks of many incredible tracks by pop stars and top 40 artists who have been using her rare talent to counter their gruff voices or messages.  Lupe Fiasco’s Words I Never Said and Fort Minor’s Where’d You Go are two examples in addition to I Need A Doctor.  As well as being a brilliant vocalist, she is a super talented writer/lyricist, having written Love the Way You Lie, Castle Walls (T.I. ft. Christina Aguilera) and co-written Coming Home by Diddy, Jay-Z and J Cole.  Seriously, this woman is ridiculous.

Dr. Dre And Eminem Unite With Grammy Performance

Easily the most hyped of all the 53rd Grammy Award performances, the buildup leading to the Eminem and Dr. Dre feature with Skylar Grey, who all performed the new single “I Need A Doctor” from Dre’s Detox album, did not disappoint.

The epic “I Need A Doctor” was as expected a major spectacle as Skylar Grey’s wailing vocals and the dramatic shift in mood on stage was seamlessly pulled off and nearly erased all visuals and memory of Rihanna’s appearance with Slim Shady just moments before it. Fans on Twitter reacted in record number, and much of the responses named this performance the best of the night.

Eminem only wins 2 of 10 Grammys

LOS ANGELES – The Grammys love Eminem. Over his decade plus career, they've showered him with 13 Grammy Awards — and gave him two during this year's ceremonies.

But their love for Eminem seems to only extend to the rap categories. Despite being regarded as one of music's geniuses, he has never won a Grammy outside of the genre — a streak that continued on Sunday.

Eminem, who went into the Grammys as the leading nominee with 10 nominations, including in the prestigious
album, record and song of the year categories, walked away with just two: best solo rap performance and best rap album for "Recovery," which was last year's best-selling album and marked a triumphant comeback for an iconic figure who stumbled in recent years due to a former drug addiction.

Hallucinogens: The Wonderful World Of LSD

LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamidecame ) about at a very important time in American culture. It was a time when widespread tensions were taking over American society. Generations were split on topics such as the U.S. presence in Vietnam, race relations, sexual behavior, women's rights, and, yes, even experimentation with psychoactive drugs. People wanted peace, they wanted to live in harmony, and they wanted: Sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. Whether people agree with drug use or not, LSD played an integral part in the transformation of a generation, had a massive effect on how people interpreted the American Dream, and shaped the nation's youth -- for better or worse. Here is a look back at LSD, 50 years after its introduction into popular culture.
